Strela e il M. Maggiorasca visti da S. Giovanni
Alle 14 una gelida tramontana spirava sui crinali scuotendo le foglie superstiti sui rami delle roverelle, battendo i prati deserti, ghiacciando le croste di neve nei fossi.
Non c'era alcuna animale al pascolo, o uccello tra i rami. Solo una poiana volteggiava sopra Pradelle. Poi, molto più tardi, due fringuelli hanno attraversato il cielo per rifugiarsi nel filare di querce ai margini dei prati di San Giovanni.
At 2 PM a cold northern wind was blowing on the ridges shaking the surviving leaves on the downy oaks branches, hitting the desert meadows, frosting the snow crusts in ditches.
There were no animals grazing, or birds among the branches. Only a buzzard was soaring above Pradelle. Then, much later, two chaffinches have crossed the sky to take refuge in the row of oaks on the fringes of the meadows of San Giovanni.
